Bruins get much-needed victory

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Nicole Kaczmarski scored 18 points as UCLA (No. 17 ESPN/USA Today, No. 16 AP) rallied to beat Old Dominion (No. 19, No. 19) 82-76 Wednesday night.

UCLA (6-4) trailed Old Dominion (7-2) by 12 points before going on a 17-0 run to take a 61-56 lead with 7:08 remaining.

Old Dominion fought back to take a 71-70 lead with 2:46 left in the game.

Janae Hubbard made a pair of free throws with 1:29 left and guard Erica Gomez converted four consecutive free throws to give UCLA a six-point lead with 1:01 left to play.

Lucienne Berthieu led Old Dominion with 22 points.

Maylana Martin scored 13 points and Marie Philman added 12 for UCLA.
