NORTHRIDGE, California (Ticker) -- LaToya Thomas wasted no time keeping No. 23 Mississippi State undefeated.

Thomas scored six of her 33 points in a game-opening 10-2 run as Mississippi State took early control and cruised to a 98-64 rout of Cal State Northridge.

Thomas shot 11-of-18 from the field, 11-of-13 from the line and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs (10-0), who never trailed and lead by at least 10 points for the final 27 minutes.

Thomas had two free throws, a layup and a jumper as Mississippi State bolted to a 10-2 lead in just over two minutes. Northridge was within 21-17 with 8:54 left in the first half before Meadow Overstreet had a three-point play and 3-pointer in an 8-0 burst that made it 29-17 with 7:26 remaining.

Behind Thomas and Jennifer Fambrough, the Lady Bulldogs roared to a 50-25 halftime lead. Thomas and Fambrough combined for 10 baskets in the first half while the Matadors managed just nine in 27 shots.

Fambrough had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Overstreet and Cynthia Hall added 11 points apiece for Mississippi State, which shot 51 percent (34-of-67) and made 26-of-32 free throws.

Edniesha Curry scored 21 points for Northridge (6-4), which shot just 37 percent (22-of-60) and was outrebounded, 51-28.
