LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (Ticker) -- LaNeishea Caufield scored 17 of her 21 points in the first half as No. 16 Oklahoma used hot shooting and a swarming defense to smother Arkansas-Little Rock, 86-45. Caufield made 8-of-9 shots from the field to lead the Sooners, who shot 55 percent (34-of-62). She was 7-of-8 in the first half, when Oklahoma (4-2) bolted to a 45-22 lead. Caton Hill scored 15 points and Stacey Dales added 12 for the Sooners, who were even better at the other end of the court. They allowed Arkansas-Little Rock to shoot just 23.5 percent (12-of-51) and forced 30 turnovers. Caufield had six steals. Oklahoma trailed for just 24 seconds. It opened a 10-point lead in the first seven minutes as Hill scored eight points and pushed it to 41-16 on a three-point play by Caufield with 2:43 left in the first half. Eplunus Brooks had 11 points and 12 rebounds and Shemeka Strong scored 11 points for the Trojans (2-4), who trailed by as many as 48 points. Strong had six steals but also committed seven turnovers.
