Reigning Australian netballer of the year Gretel Bueta has been included in the Diamonds squad despite missing the entire Super Netball season through pregnancy.

Bueta (nee Tippett) isn't due to give birth until January but given the rescheduling of the 2020 Constellation Cup against New Zealand from October to early next year, has been named in a 19-strong squad named on Friday.

Despite the postponement, NA is planning a camp next month for the players, which will be their first under new Diamonds coach Stacey Marinkovich.

The squad features five new names in Verity Charles, Sophie Garbin, Kim Jenner, Cara Koenen and Maddy Proud, and one returning squad member in Jess Anstiss.

Bueta hasn't played but has been a constant on the sidelines of the Queensland Firebirds games, helping coach the team.

NA is working with the Queensland government with plans to host a camp shortly after the 2020 Super Netball grand final which will be held in Brisbane on Sunday, October 18.

Marinkovich said naming the squad wasn't easy, with a panel including also national selectors Anne Sargeant and Michelle Wilkins behind the selections.

"We have such a great depth of talent within our system across every position on the court and I congratulate those that have been selected," Marinkovich said in a statement.

"We have a strong vision towards our marquee events, the 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2023 Netball World Cup, and I look forward to further technically and strategically developing this group and building on our connection and cohesion under pressure."
