2020 NFL draft -- dates, how to watch, top prospects, mock draft

The 2020 NFL draft begins with Round 1 on April 23 from Las Vegas and continues with Rounds 2 and 3 on April 24 and Rounds 4 to 7 on April 25. The draft will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN, the ESPN app and NFL Network.

NFL draft order

The Cincinnati Bengals will have the No. 1 pick in the draft. They finished with the worst record in the league this season, 2-14.

The Washington Redskins finished 3-13, and will pick second. The Detroit Lions finished 3-12-1, and will pick third.

The New York Giants (4-12), Miami Dolphins (5-11), Los Angeles Chargers (5-11) and Carolina Panthers (5-11) make up the rest of the top seven.

Top prospects

Joe Burrow, QB, LSU: Burrow was this year's Heisman Trophy winner, led LSU to the national championship, and became the first major college quarterback to throw 60 touchdown passes in a season. He's currently ranked the No. 2 prospect by both of ESPN's draft experts, Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay.

Chase Young, DE, Ohio State: Young finished fourth in the Heisman voting, but is ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect by both Kiper and McShay. He led the nation with 16.5 sacks, and became just the fourth defensive lineman to be named a finalist in Heisman history.

Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State: Okudah had three interceptions this season and was a unanimous All-American. He is ranked as the No. 3 prospect by McShay, and No. 4 by Kiper.

Isaiah Simmons, OLB, Clemson: Simmons had eight sacks and three interceptions this season. He is ranked as the No. 4 prospect by McShay, and No. 5 by Kiper.

Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn: Brown had four sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss this season. He is ranked as the No. 5 prospect by McShay, and No. 6 by Kiper.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama: Tagovailoa threw for 2,840 yards and 33 touchdowns (with just three interceptions), before suffering a season-ending injury in mid-November. Kiper still has him ranked as the No. 3 prospect. McShay has him at No. 9.

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama: Jeudy finished the season with 77 catches for 1,163 yards and 10 touchdowns, and won the Biletnikoff Award the year before, when he finished with 1,315 receiving yards and 14 TDs. Both Kiper and McShay have him at No. 7.
