Tennessee Titans hire Mical Johnson as first full-time female scouting assistant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans hired Mical Johnson as a full-time scouting assistant on Tuesday. Johnson is the first woman to work full time for their scouting department. She'll work in both college and pro scouting.

Johnson served as an intern last year in the Amy Adams Strunk Women in Football program. She is a former tennis player (2015-19) at Belmont University in Nashville.

Titans coach Mike Vrabel and GM Jon Robinson created the Amy Adams Strunk Women in Sports Program, which offers intern positions on their staff for women. The program is named for the Titans' controlling owner.

The Titans named Kiara Mayo as the 2021 Amy Adams Strunk Women in Football training camp intern in scouting and operations. Mayo will start her internship when the Titans return for training camp.
