SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Marco Sturm's second power-play goal lifted San Jose to a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Mighty Ducks on Saturday night. Stephane Matteau and Tony Granato each had a goal and an assist, and Steve Shields made 29 saves for the Sharks. Paul Kariya scored twice for Anaheim, which outshot San Jose 15-3 in the third period and 32-22 overall. With the game tied 3-3, Sturm scored from the right circle on the power play with 8:06 remaining. With Anaheim trailing 3-1, Kariya scored his 24th and 25th goals of the season in a 2 1/2-minute stretch of the final period, with the tying goal coming with 9:52 left in the game. Kariya scored at 7:36 of the third period on a power play from just inside the blue line to make it 3-2. He scored again at 10:08 with a series of nice passes that ended with Teemu Selanne assisting Kariya for a goal from 12 feet out. Anaheim got on the scoreboard 20 seconds into the game when Selanne scored his 18th goal of the season on a 50-foot shot from just inside the blue line. Matteau tied it 1-1 on a rebound shot from short range at 9:12 of the second period after the Mighty Ducks had rejected a shot by Granato. The Sharks took a 2-1 lead on a power play at 13:44 of the second period. Patrick Marleau took the puck nearly the length of the ice, and his shot was rejected by Guy Hebert. Sturm collected the rebound and scored from 10 feet. Granato scored at 18:49 of the second to give the Sharks a 3-1 lead.
