CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago Blackhawks like their chances in four-on-four situations. Michael Nylander and Boris Mironov scored four-on-four goals 1:12 apart in the third period Saturday to rally Chicago to a 2-2 tie with the Dallas Stars. "Four-on-four is great," said Mironov, who assisted on Nylander's goal. "There's a lot of room for us to make plays." In Chicago's previous outing, a 5-4 overtime win Thursday over Boston, the Blackhawks used two goals late in the third period to tie the game. Steve Sullivan then scored in the four-on-four extra period. On Saturday, Dallas' Brett Hull and Mike Keane scored 28 seconds apart early in the first period to put the visitors up. Chicago is undefeated in its last five games (4-0-1) and 8-3-1 in its last 12. Dallas is undefeated (3-0-1) in its last four and 5-2-2 in nine. Stars goaltender Ed Belfour stopped 26 shots in his first game since he was charged with assault and resisting arrest in an incident March 8 at a Dallas hotel. "It was nice to get this one under the belt," Belfour said. "I felt a little rusty out there in the first (period). My timing was a bit off." Hull downplayed Belfour's absence and called the goalie's performance "par for the course." Belfour last played March 5 in a 5-3 loss to Detroit. He rejoined the Stars on Tuesday but was the backup for Manny Fernandez in Dallas' 3-2 win Wednesday at New Jersey. Chicago goalie Jocelyn Thibault ended with 18 saves. Dallas earned a 2-0 lead 5:11 into the game on goals by Hull and Keane. Hull surprised Thibault with a quick screened shot from the top of the right circle at 4:43, and Keane slid in a rebound of Aaron Gavey's shot at 5:11. After facing a few tough chances in the first period, Belfour was barely tested in the scoreless second. Nylander ruined his shutout bid with 8:28 left in the third. With each team playing one man short, he was set up by Anders Eriksson and connected on one-timer from the low edge of the right circle. Mironov tied it 1:12 later, firing from the left point after the Blackhawks won the faceoff. Chicago had the better chance in overtime, including a close-in chance by Mironov with two seconds left.
