BOX SCORE
PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- John LeClair and Mark Recchi each had two goals and two assists and first-round draft pick Simon Gagne also scored twice as the Philadelphia Flyers earned a preseason home-and-home split with an 10-2 rout of the New Jersey Devils. Eric Lindros added a goal and an assist and Chris Therien set up three scores for the Flyers, who avenged Saturday's 4-2 loss at New Jersey. Philadelphia (2-4-0) scored on 10 of 27 shots against Chris Terreri. Rookie Stanislav Gron's power-play goal 56 seconds into the second period lifted the Devils into a 2-2 tie but Sean O'Brien converted a penalty shot at 3:32 and Craig Berube tallied 2 1/2 minutes later for a 4-2 lead. LeClair scored his second goal of the game at 9:02, Gagne netted his first with 8:52 left in the period and Lindros made it 7-2 65 seconds later. Jeff Williams also scored for New Jersey, which fell to 5-3-0 in the preseason. Neil Little allowed two goals on 20 shots over the first 25:50 but had to be replaced by Brian Boucher after he was assessed a fighting major and a game misconduct. Boucher stopped all six shots thereafter. The Flyers learned before the game that center-left wing Rod Brind'Amour will miss two to four weeks with a broken bone in his left foot suffered Saturday.
