KANATA, Ontario (AP) -- Jason York and the Ottawa Senators got a lot out of York's first goal in 80 regular-season games.

York beat goalie Byron Dafoe with a high wrist 1:23 into overtime as the Senators beat Boston 5-4 on Thursday night to extend their undefeated streak to five games.

"It's a great way for me to get my first one," York said. "I just tried to get as much on my wrist shot as I could and it went top corner."

Shaun Van Allen, Radek Bonk, Shawn McEachern and Magnus Arvedson also scored for the Senators, who overcame a 4-2 deficit in the third period to improve to 5-1-4 in their last 10 games.

"I told York he wouldn't go 80 without a goal. It was a great goal," McEachern said. "We got the goals, but more important was the way we played. The defense was jumping up in the play and making things happen."

Sergei Samsonov had two goals and Joe Thornton and Anson Carter also scored for the Bruins, winless in six games.

"We played like we were afraid of losing," Carter said. "The other club took it to us."

Ottawa's Patrick Lalime stopped all 10 shots he faced in the third period and overtime, after starter Ron Tugnutt allowed four goals on 17 shots in the first two periods.

Dafoe made 33 saves for Boston.

McEachern drew the Senators within one with a power-play goal at 1:41 of the third period, and Arvedson tied it with 5:23 left.

Bonk gave Ottawa a 2-1 lead with a power-play goal at 3:20 of the second period, but Boston scored three goals in a 7:52 span to take a 4-2 lead. Thorton tied it on a power play at 8:13, Carter put the Bruins in front at 10:47, and Samsonov added a power-play goal with 3:55 left.

Samsonov opened the scoring at 8:18 of the first period, and Van Allen tied at 9:17.

Ottawa was 2-for-6 on the power play, setting a club record with seven straight games with at least one power-play goal. The Bruins were 2-for-7 on the power play.
