Canberra Raiders sign Jamal Fogarty on three-year deal

Canberra have cemented their halves pairing for the 2022 NRL season by signing Jamal Fogarty from Gold Coast on a three-year deal.

Fogarty will join the Raiders after 41 games for the Titans and fresh from steering them to their first finals appearance since 2016.

After losing playmaker George Williams midway through last season, the Raiders have now filled the hole with an experienced half to pair with former Dally M medallist Jack Wighton.

"I'm super excited about coming down and meeting the squad," Fogarty said.

"The Raiders have a great roster and coach in Ricky (Stuart) and they've had some success over the past few seasons and I'm really excited to join them and be a part of it.

"Playing with someone like Jack is something I'm really looking forward to and building a relationship with him on-field.

"He's an X-factor player and hopefully I can do my job and help to free him up and do what he does best." Fogarty's release from Gold Coast comes after the Titans had only recently extended his contract until the end of 2023.

The 27-year-old played 21 times for the Titans this year, scoring four tries.
