NRL Finals Week 2 Line-ups, verdicts, tips, odds, everything you need to know for the weekend

Week 2 of the NRL finals sees two elimination semi-finals with a battle of the beaches on Friday night, followed by a wild West shoot-out on Saturday night.

The Sea Eagles will need to dust themselves off following their disappointing effort against the Storm last week as they take on the Roosters, while the Panthers also had their pride dented and will be looking to bounce back against the Eels.

Good luck with your tips.

Friday, September 17

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles vs. Sydney Roosters, BB Print Stadium, Mackay, 7:50pm (AEST)

Sea Eagles: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason Saab 3. Brad Parker 4. Morgan Harper 5. Reuben Garrick 6. Kieran Foran 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Josh Aloiai 9. Lachlan Croker 10. Martin Taupau 11. Haumole Olakau'atu 12. Josh Schuster 13. Jake Trbojevic Bench: 14. Dylan Walker 15. Karl Lawton 16. Sean Keppie 17. Taniela Paseka Reserves: 18. Toafofoa Sipley 19. Moses Suli 20. Curtis Sironen 21. Tevita Funa

Roosters: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Josh Morris 4. Adam Keighran 5. Matt Ikuvalu 6. Lachlan Lam 7. Drew Hutchison 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 20. Ben Marschke 10. Isaac Liu 11. Angus Crichton 12. Sitili Tupouniua 13. Victor Radley Bench: 14. Sam Walker 15. Nat Butcher 16. Egan Butcher 17. Fletcher Baker Reserves: 18. Dale Copley 19. Ben Thomas 21. Naufahu Whyte

Verdict: This is tough one to pick after the Sea Eagles were decidedly ordinary last week in losing to the Storm and the Roosters really struggled to put the Titans away. Have the Sea Eagles been overachieving up till now or are the Storm a league ahead of just about everyone else? Are the Roosters limping in or were the Titans playing out of their skins? The form guide for this one might as well be written in Swahili. I don't think Tom Trbojevic and the Sea Eagles backs will be as quiet this week, but I think the Roosters might pip them by way of superior finals experience.

Tip: Roosters by 4

TAB odds: Sea Eagles $1.28 (-10.5 $1.90) Roosters $3.60 (+10.5 $1.90)

Saturday, September 18

Penrith Panthers vs. Parramatta Eels, BB Print Stadium, Mackay, 7:40pm (AEST)

Panthers: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Stephen Crichton 3. Paul Momirovski 4. Matt Burton 5. Brian To'o 6. Jarome Luai 7. Nathan Cleary 8. Moses Leota 9. Apisai Koroisau 10. James Fisher-Harris 11. Viliame Kikau 12. Kurt Capewell 13. Isaah Yeo Bench: 14. Mitch Kenny 15. Scott Sorensen 16. Tevita Pangai Junior 17. Liam Martin Reserves: 18. Spencer Leniu 19. Izack Tago 20. Brent Naden 21. Tyrone May

Eels: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Haze Dunster 3. Viliami Penisini 4. Waqa Blake 5. Blake Ferguson 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Ray Stone 10. Junior Paulo 11. Shaun Lane 12. Marata Niukore 13. Nathan Brown Bench: 14. Will Smith 15. Isaiah Papali'i 16. Bryce Cartwright 17. Ryan Matterson Reserves: 18. Makahesi Makatoa 19. Oregon Kaufusi 20. Tom Opacic 21. Jakob Arthur

Verdict: The Panthers were shocked last week by the Rabbitohs and completely caught off guard. The Eels were lucky to get away with a win over the Knights in a ferocious clash. The Eels will come into this with winning momentum and a few bruises, but the Panthers will do everything in their power to keep their Premiership dream alive. I just can't see the Panthers going out in straight sets, not after the incredible season they have had up until last week. If they win this, the Panthers have the Storm next week in what many believe should have been the Grand Final match-up.

Tip: Panthers by 14

TAB odds: Panthers $1.23 (-11.5 $1.85) Eels $4 (+11.5 $1.95)
