Angie Thompson

When she was growing up in the 60's, Angie Thompson spent a lot of time on the lake with her dad and brother. Her father had a little jon boat they would take to the county lake and spend the day in heroic pursuit of the wily bream. The competition between brother and sister was intense, as they kept an ever-watchful eye on each other's stringer to validate the bets they had laid down in the Fairlane on the drive out. They were pretty evenly matched adversaries back then, but little by little, Angie's brother edged her out with his skill. With each progressive summer, he'd get a little better. That trend continued unimpeded until seven years ago.

In 1992, Angie Thompson went to work for outdoor television producer Jerry McKinnis and JM Associates. As the co-host of ESPN2 Outdoors since 1995, she has been able to discover the most amazing places and meet the most interesting people in a variety of outdoor arenas.

But, as co-host of Cumberland Stories, she knows there are hundreds more fascinating people, places and destinations she hasn't yet discovered.
