81'New Zealand captain Kieran Read: "That was one hell of a Test match. It was like last week [England's narrow win against South Africa] with it going down to the wire. England came at us, they're a fantastic side. I'm feeling a lot of relief right now."
81'

England captain Owen Farrell: "We stayed in the game. I'm proud of the way we stuck in but we needed to be a bit more clinical."

On Sam Underhill's disallowed try: You need decisions to go your way, like they did last week. Today they didn't."

On failing to set up a last-minute drop-goal: "We started looking for it. There was time on the clock but as soon as we tried to set it up we lost it."

81'15-16 End of second half
80'England will be hurting right now, but they will take a lot of encouragement from that performance.
80'That's it. New Zealand come back from 15 points down to win by a point. England had chances at the end, but were not able to set up the drop-goal opportunity. What a game, though. Colossal effort from both teams.

78'Here come England again. They're up inside the New Zealand half.
76'The try has been disallowed. Lawes was offside when he blocked the kick. But it was so close, it really could have gone either way.

41'We're underway again for the second-half and already England are under pressure. New Zealand should really score, but Kieran Read's pass to Ardie Savea was loose as the All Blacks broke clear. Let off from England already.
41'From Tom Hamilton at Twickenham: Until the 38th minute of the first half, this was faultless from England. Even then as the All Blacks got on the scoreboard, there was little England could have done to hold out Damian McKenzie. But until then, this was an exceptional 35 or so minutes from Eddie Jones? side. Sam Underhill was having the finest game of his career as England crossed for two well-worked tries. The first saw them suck in the defence to put Chris Ashton over in the corner while for the second, Dylan Hartley was at the back of a 13-man rolling maul. England know full well to expect a backlash from the All Blacks in the second half but this match is nicely poised.

5'England kick long and Sam Underhill smashes Damian McKenzie into touch.
3'Farrell's conversion from the right-hand touchline strikes the post and bounces out. It remains 5-0 England.
2'

Chris Ashton! Can you believe that? From the scrum England drive forward, first with Kyle Sinckler and then Maro Itoje. Ben Youngs floats it wide and finds Ashton who splashes down in the rain. What a start for Ashton on his England return.
2'5-0 Try - Chris Ashton , England
1'New Zealand knock-on from Farrell's kick-off. Brodie Retallick is the offender and it hands England an early scrum.
1'Here we go! France's Jerome Garces gets us underway as Owen Farrell kicks deep left.

1'The players are out on the pitch at Twickenham and the weather looks horrendous. The skies are grey and it's chucking down with rain.
1'Chris Ashton's inclusion in the starting XV is the biggest talking point for England.

Ashton is making his first England start in more than four years and his try-scoring ability will be crucial if they are to secure a win this afternoon, according to ESPN's Tom Hamilton.

1'Good afternoon and welcome to ESPN's live commentary of England vs New Zealand. Eddie Jones' side ground out an important win last weekend against South Africa, but they should expect to face an even tougher test this afternoon against the All Blacks. It's the sides' first meeting since 2014 and it should be an absolute cracker.
1'0-0 Start of first half
