Pau have won five matches on the bounce in the Top 14 after a convincing 38-15 win over Lyon at the Stade de Hameau on Sunday.

The home side found their groove after falling behind 7-0 from a Toby Arnold try.

Mosese Ratuvou and Sean Dougall scored before Malik Hamadache ran in two tries in the space of six minutes to push Pau out to a comfortable 28-10 lead at the break.

Lyon struggled to impose themselves in the match after former France international Frederik Michalak came off injured early in the piece.

The visitors managed a consolation effort through Napolioni Nalaga in the 72nd minute but Julien Fumat had the last say for Pau with a try two minutes from time.

The result keeps Pau in the race for a play-off place. They now sit sixth in the standings after 17 matches.

Gerbrandt Grobler and Teddy Thomas both grabbed a brace as Racing 92 ran in nine tries in a 59-20 win over Bayonne in the only other match on Saturday.

Despite falling behind to two Martin Bustos Moyano penalties inside eight minutes, Racing bossed their visitors in the opening half.

Tries from Brice Dulin, Henry Chavancy, Gerbrandt Grobler and Dimitri Szarzewski gave them a 26-13 half-time lead. Grobler and Thomas added tries within 10 minutes of the restart before Moyano was sin-binned.

That saw Racing continue to edge clear with Thomas adding his second try of the game with a quarter-hour remaining. Jose Ramon Ayarza got a consolation try for Bayonne before James Hart, who had kicked five conversions got over for a try.

Antoine Gibert converted and there was still time for Racing to get a ninth as Marc Andreu crossed with two minutes remaining to compound Bayonne's woes.
