Aviva Premiership club Worcester Warriors have bolstered their options at hooker with the signing of Kurt Haupt.

South African Haupt, 28, has signed a short-term deal at Sixways to compensate for the loss of Joe Taufete'e to international duty and Niall Annett and Matti Williams to injury.

He joins up with his new teammates immediately having left Southern Kings, who he represented during the 2017 Super Rugby season.

"Kurt is an experienced player who will add competition at hooker," Warriors director of rugby Gary Gold said.

"We're looking forward to getting him involved as soon as possible and are excited about what he can offer."
