Scotland lock Jonny Gray will join Exeter Chiefs next season, the club announced in a statement on Friday.

The 25-year-old plays with Glasgow Warriors and will move to Sandy Park at the start of next season on a two-year deal.

Gray made his debut for Scotland in 2013 against South Africa and has gone on to secure 55 international caps.

His move to Exeter will see him reunited with Scotland teammate Stuart Hogg who moved to Sandy Park last summer.

"I see the move not only as a chance to experience something new, but at the same time it's a chance for me to develop myself, not only as a player, but as a person," said Gray in a statement.

"Without doubt this was one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make - and I will be giving everything between now and the end of the season to ensure my time here finishes on a high."

Gray is the latest in a number of high profile players to leave the Warriors with Hogg, Finn Russell and Josh Strauss all changing club.
