DENVER (AP) _ Ian Feuer recorded his fifth shutout of the season as the Colorado Rapids defeated the Kansas City Wizards 1-0 in a shoot-out at Mile High Stadium Friday night.

Colorado (17-9) won the shootout 3-2 to end a three-game losing streak for the Rapids.

The Rapids dominated much of the night, preventing the Wizards (8-20) from getting off a single shot on goal. Colorado took 9 shots in the first 45 minutes.

The Wizards failed to capitalize on their only real chance at scoring with 21 minutes to play on a dead ball just outside the top of the box.

The game went into a shoot-out, with Feuer keeping out four of six Kansas City attempts. Joey DiGiamarino, David Vaudreuil and Wolde Harris scored for the Rapids to secure the single point.
