Great Britain beat Germany 2-0 to reach the quarterfinals in the Billie Jean King Cup. Britain's Katie Boulter beat Germany's Laura Siegemund 6-1 6-2 on Friday, after Emma Raducanu Raducanu beat Jule Niemeier 6-4 6-4 on her return from injury. GB will face Canada in the quarterfinals, as Australia face Slovakia, Czech Republic take on Poland, and Japan go head-to-head with Italy. Raducanu said afterwards: "I think I played some really good tennis today. Playing Jule on an indoor hard court isn't easy. It's a game of holding serve and trying to get a break where you can. "I haven't obviously played a match in a long time so these are small sharpness things that come the more matches I play. I'm very happy with how I regrouped and how I managed to close out that last game." Boulter said after her match: "Obviously I'm thrilled with getting a win for GB today. These matches mean so more than all the other ones because you are playing with the flag on your chest. "It felt good, Emma started us off great which was really nice. For me to come out and have a swing at 1-0 up, it felt great so it's been a really good day for us."
