Lynx's Augustus (knee) has 8 points in '19 debut

Minnesota Lynx veteran guard Seimone Augustus made her first appearance of the WNBA season on Tuesday, helping the Lynx beat the Atlanta Dream 85-69 and end a four-game losing streak.

Augustus, who had been sidelined after offseason knee surgery, played 21 minutes and finished with eight points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals. She moved into 10th on the WNBA's career scoring list.

Augustus, picked No. 1 overall by Minnesota in 2006 and playing in her 14th WNBA season, has been a key part of the Lynx's four WNBA championship teams. She has averaged 16.3 points in her career, which has included three Olympic gold medals with the U.S.

The Lynx, who have made the postseason every year since 2011, are currently in eighth place -- the final playoff spot -- at 11-11.
