LOS ANGELES -- Ivana Jakubcova has transferred to Southern California for the upcoming basketball season, giving the Trojans their tallest player in 29 years.

The 6-foot-6 center will have one season of eligibility left after transferring from Kentucky, where Jakubcova spent two seasons after playing at Murray State for two seasons.

Jakubcova will be the tallest Trojans player since Monica Lamb, who also stood 6-6, in 1987.

After being sidelined by injury in 2014-15, Jakubcova appeared in 24 games with 10 blocks for the Wildcats, who reached the NCAA tournament's Sweet 16. At Murray State, she averaged 8.0 points and 6.3 rebounds.

Jakubcova, who is from Slovakia, earned a psychology degree from Kentucky this month. She will pursue a master's in applied psychology at USC.

USC coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke said Thursday that Jakubcova will provide size, maturity and leadership to the team.
