Louisville lands No. 8 prospect Hailey Van Lith

Louisville added to its recruiting class when it landed No. 8 prospect Hailey Van Lith on Saturday.

Van Lith, a 5-foot-7 guard who plays for Cashmere High School in Washington, ultimately chose the Cardinals over Baylor. UCLA and Oregon had also been schools she was considering.

Van Lith, a left-handed combo guard who can drive to the hoop and finish plays through traffic, told espnW in October that she had professional aspirations, and this puts her one step closer to that.

She joins a Louisville class that also features No. 18 prospect Olivia Cochran, guard Merissah Russell and juco guard Ahlana Smith.

The Cardinals entered the early period of national signing week with the No. 14 class.
