Michigan State-Michigan women's basketball rivalry game postponed as Spartans extend pause

The in-state rivalry showdown between Michigan State and No. 13 Michigan in women's basketball, scheduled for Monday in Ann Arbor, has been postponed because of COVID-19 protocols within the Spartans' program.

Earlier this week, Michigan State postponed Thursday's game at Illinois; no decisions have been made regarding subsequent Spartans games beyond Monday. The Spartans-Wolverines game at Michigan State is scheduled for Jan. 28.

The Wolverines are off to their best start in program history at 10-0 after their 69-40 victory at Wisconsin on Thursday. Michigan's 5-0 Big Ten record is also its best start in league play. Michigan is scheduled to play at No. 15 Ohio State next Thursday.
