Connor McDavid scores in 2OT as Oilers defeat Stars in Game 1 (2:49)

The Oilers take Game 1 of the Western Conference finals after Connor McDavid's double-overtime goal vs. the Stars. (2:49)

With the conference finals round of the Stanley Cup playoffs having started, will stars like Connor McDavid, Sergei Bobrovsky or Artemi Panarin win their first Conn Smythe Trophy, for playoff MVP? Last season's winner Jonathan Marchessault opened as a 200-1 long shot before his magnificent run.

The Oilers' dramatic 2-OT win over the stars has propelled McDavid and teammate Leon Draisaitl to the top of the odds, while Jake Oettinger, Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk round out the top five heading into Friday night's action.

The Conn Smythe is almost always a member of the Stanley Cup-winning team; Jean-Sebastien Giguere of the 2003 Mighty Ducks of Anaheim was the last to win it without also hoisting the Cup. You can check out teams' odds of winning here.

Here is a list of every player's odds to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.
