MIAMI (Ticker) -- Alonzo Mourning scored six of his 24 points in a pivotal fourth-quarter burst as the Miami Heat dealt the Orlando Magic their first loss of the exhibition season, 107-96. The Magic trailed throughout but cut the deficit to 89-86 on a basket by Pat Garrity with 6:19 remaining. Heat coach Pat Riley re-inserted his starters and Mourning scored six points in a 10-4 run, including a basket that made it 99-90 with 2:49 left. Voshon Lenard scored 23 points and P.J. Brown added 19 and 12 rebounds for the Heat (3-3), who shot 43 percent (39-of-90) from the field but held a 50-35 rebounding edge. Mourning blocked six shots and Lenard sank five 3-pointers.
