Riddled by inconsistency, North Carolina was one of the biggest disappoinments of the regular season. But this is a whole new season. Coach Gutheridge has taken advantage of the fresh start, guiding the Heels to the Sweet 16 for the second time in his three-year tenure. The inspired play of big man Brendan Haywood has been a pleasant surprise and could be the difference between a short stay in Austin or a trip to Indy.
