FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas tight end Joe Dean Davenport snookered Auburn on one touchdown pass and eluded the defense on another as the Razorbacks opened a 20-point lead and beat the Tigers 34-10 Saturday.

Clint Stoerner probably never had two easier touchdown throws than his first-quarter tosses of 5 and 7 yards to Davenport.

Despite a steady rain for the final three quarters, neither Arkansas (5-2, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) nor Auburn (3-5, 1-5) had a turnover. The Tigers needed some help, particularly after losing quarterback Ben Leard early in the second quarter. Leard, sidelined for a month with a separated shoulder, was knocked out after he was hit from behind while trying to pass.

Stoerner's third touchdown pass -- a 9-yarder to Boo Williams -- made it 27-3 early in the third quarter and came four plays after Travaris Robinson was knocked down at the Auburn 1 when he ran the second-half kickoff out of the end zone. At that point, Stoerner was 16-of-23 for 202 yards.

Arkansas faced third down only once during a nine-play, 80-yard touchdown drive following the opening kickoff. Three times, the Razorbacks made big plays by moving Davenport from side to side or by putting backup tight end Marcellus Poydras in motion across the backfield.

Poydras threw the lead block on Chrys Chukwuma's 12-yard run for the Razorbacks' initial first down. After Stoerner's 25-yard pass to Michael Williams down the middle, Arkansas moved Davenport and Poydras to the short side of the field and Chukwuma followed them for 20. From the 5, the defense watched Poydras head for the right flat and Davenport was wide open in the back of the end zone.

Stoerner hit several big passes on the second drive, one because Auburn cornerback Larry Casher went for an interception and missed. Anthony Lucas made the catch and turned upfield for 27 yards. Three plays later, Arkansas lined up with three receivers to the left and two to the right. Auburn rushed six and Stoerner was backpedaling when he threw 17 yards to Michael Williams.

With Poydras in motion to the right, Stoerner lobbed one over Kenny Kelly that Davenport caught for 24 yards. On third-and-goal from the 7, Stoerner and everyone else with red jerseys headed right.

Davenport went to his knees, got up and headed left where he was 20 yards from the nearest defender when he caught Stoerner's floater for the touchdown.
