CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -- The Los Angeles Kings took full advantage of the Calgary Flames' injury-riddled defense corps.

Rob Blake and Donald Audette each had a goal and two assists as the Kings scored five goals in a 7:38 span of the third period in a 7-2 victory Wednesday night.

Blake scored his 16th goal with 5:49 left, capping the flurry against goalie Fred Brathwaite. The last three goals came on power plays as the frustrated Flames took three consecutive penalties, two by Andrei Nazarov.

"Our power play has been struggling so it's positive to score three in a row like that," Blake said.

With six Calgary defensemen already sidelined by injuries, the Flames suffered a major blow before the game when All-Star Phil Housley was scratched because of the flu.

"Housley's been unbelievable this year and to see that he wasn't going to play, we knew it was going to be a tough game for their D," said Luc Robitaille, who extended his points streak to 11 games with his 32nd goal and an assist.

Robitaille has 10 goals and nine assists during the streak.

Aki Berg, Zigmund Palffy, Jason Blake and Jere Karalahti also scored for the Kings, who have won six of their last eight.

Jarome Iginla and Jeff Shantz scored for Calgary, which led 2-0 after the first period. Iginla added an assist to extend his point streak to 11 games.

"When you're behind 2-0, that third goal is always so important as it can change the game's momentum, like it did for us tonight," Audette said.

The Flames, outshot 48-26, are 2-10-1 in their last 13 games.
