ESPN Dos to air nine-hour Eduardo Najera Special The most memorable performances of Eduardo Najera, who hopes to become the first Mexican player ever to be drafted by a National Basketball Association team, will be featured in a nine-hour programming block on ESPN Dos, Wednesday, June 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET. The Eduardo Najera Special Presented by ESPN Dos will be followed by LIVE coverage of the NBA Draft from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Najera, a native of Chihuahua, Mexico, finished his four-year college basketball career at the University of Oklahoma as the school's eighth-leading, all-time scorer (1,646 points) and fifth-leading rebounder (910 rebounds). The 6'8", 240-pound forward averaged a team-high 18.4 points and 9.2 rebounds a game, while guiding the Sooners to a 27-7 record and sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this season. Najera was named the Chip Hilton Player of the Year at Oklahoma and was selected to the All-Big 12 first team, the All-America third team and the Big 12 All-Defense Team for the 1999-2000 season. The Eduardo Najera Special Presented by ESPN Dos will include interview segments with Najera, as he reflects on his most memorable games during his college basketball career at Oklahoma. The following four games will be aired in their entirety: ESPN International will provide two boxing programs -- Big Fights Boxing Hour and Behind the Fights -- to ESPN in Latin America, ESPN Pac Rim and ESPN Atlantic (the Middle East and Africa), starting this summer.
