TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Terence Long went 4-for-6 with four RBIs, and Rich Becker and Bo Porter drove in three runs each as the Oakland Athletics routed the Chicago White Sox 16-9 Monday. Chicago starter Pat Daneker was pounded for seven runs and eight hits in 1 1-3 innings. Winner Gil Heredia pitched only slightly better, allowing five runs _ three earned _ and seven hits in four innings. Oakland has beaten the White Sox twice this spring by a combined score of 38-19. Olmedo Saenz hit a two-run double in the first and scored on David McCarty's single. Jose Valentin's RBI double and Magglio Ordonez's run-scoring groundout pulled Chicago within a run in the bottom half, but Oakland broke it open with a four-run second. Long hit a two-run double, Ben Grieve had an RBI and Saenz scored on a wild pitch. Josue Espada had an RBI single in the fourth off Bob Howry, who made a fielding error and then threw a pair of run-scoring wild pitches. Jeff Abbott hit a two-run double in the bottom half and Ray Durham had an RBI double.
