ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Vincent Damphousse scored two power-play goals and Jeff Friesen contributed three assists as the San Jose Sharks rolled to a 5-1 exhibition victory over the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Damphousse snapped a 1-1 tie 2:14 into the second period. He one-timed a shot from the right point after a back pass from defenseman Gary Suter, who also had two assists. Owen Nolan, Patrick Marleau and Jeff Norton also scored for the Sharks, who converted 3-of-11 chances with the man advantage. San Jose had scored just two goals in its ties against Anaheim and Vancouver to start the exhibition season. Steve Shields stopped all 12 shots he faced, including a penalty shot by Antti Aalto in the second period. Ted Drury scored for the Mighty Ducks, who are 1-1-1 in the preseason.
