Fred Brathwaite, who made 14 saves overall, stopped four shots over the final 20 minutes to preserve the victory. Phil Housley had a goal and an assist, and Marc Savard netted two assists for Calgary, which improved to 1-2. The Flames scored only one goal in losses to Montreal and Ottawa.
