PHOENIX (Ticker) -- Chris Lindberg's goal with 1:03 left in the third period lifted the Los Angeles Kings into a 2-2 exhibition tie with the Phoenix Coyotes. Lindberg was stationed at the side of the net when he tipped Jaroslav Modry's slap shot past Mikhail Shtalenkov for his first preseason goal. Modry also set up the Kings' other goal, a power-play marker by Rob Blake with 6:22 to go in the first period. Keith Tkachuk tied it in the opening minute of the second and Trevor Letowski put the Coyotes in front at 14:06 with a power-play goal. Jamie Storr stopped 33 shots for Los Angeles, which is 2-1-1 in the preseason. Shtalenkov also went the distance, turning away 24 shots for Phoenix, which remained winless at 0-3-2.
