The Brewers have announced contract extensions and promotions for two key members of the front office that's been so successful in getting Milwaukee back into the postseason. David Stearns will now hold the title of President -- Baseball Operations and General Manager, while Rick Schlesinger is now President -- Business Operations.

The Brewers entered the offseason with three glaring holes on offense: Shortstop, second base and catcher. They'll live with Orlando Arcia at short because of his glove, but the reported one-year, $18.25 million deal with Yasmani Grandal will give them a huge boost at catcher and could prove to be one of the best signings of the offseason. If they want to upgrade second base, Jed Lowrie and DJ LeMahieu are still on the market. In a competitive NL Central, the Brewers should go all-in and sign one of those two as well (especially if they don't add one more starting pitcher).

Tristan H. Cockcroft ESPN Senior Writer

Milwaukee is a great one-year landing spot for Yasmani Grandal, because of how much of his offensive game is centered upon power. Miller Park was the fifth-best park for home runs from 2014-18, and this is the best power park he has called home in his career BY FAR.
