WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- A day after a stirring come-from-behind victory in New Jersey, the Washington Wizards shoot for their fourth victory in six games tonight when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Trailing the Nets by 15 points with 3 1/2 minutes to play in the third quarter, the Wizards were able to cut the deficit to eight by the end of the period and took a 78-77 lead on Juwan Howard's three-point play with 4:25 to go.

Rookie Richard Hamilton, who had nine of his 14 points in the final 12 minutes, followed Howard's three-point play with a 3-pointer from the left wing and Washington pulled away thereafter for an 85-78 win.

The Wizards have not won back-to-back games since November 23-24 when they defeated Vancouver and Philadelphia. Washington has played respectably after a dreadful 1-7 start, but has lacked for offense all season, reaching the 100-point mark just three times.

Shawn Kemp scored 25 points, including four crucial free throws in the final 33 seconds, as the Cavaliers held on for a 106-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

Cleveland has won three of its last four games and will be shooting for its first three-game winning streak since November 3-6.

Washington took two of three meetings from Cleveland last season.
