GAME DAY PREVIEW Game time: 8:00pm ET
Orlando (5-3) at Minnesota (4-2)

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Lynx attempt to win their fourth straight game for the first time in franchise history when they face the Orlando Miracle for the second time in eight days.

Katie Smith scored 20 of her 28 points in the second half as the Lynx defeated Miami 66-55 on Saturday. Rookie Betty Lennox added 12 points for Minnesota, which held a 30-17 halftime lead and tied its best start after six games in team history.

In their second year, the Lynx have never started a season 5-2 and are riding their second three-game winning streak. That was last accomplished from July 17-21 of last season when they finished 15-7 and just missed the playoffs.

The middle contest of Minnesota's winning streak was a 71-57 triumph at Orlando last Thursday. Lennox scored 17 of her 24 points during the first half and Smith added 23 for the Lynx, who scored 12 of the game's first 15 points and held a 41-17 halftime lead.

Orlando committed 12 turnovers in the first half and produced a franchise low in points through 20 minutes. Taj McWilliams scored 18 points overall and Tiffany Wait came off the bench to add eight for the Miracle, who fell to 1-2 all-time against the Lynx.

Orlando won its second straight and fifth in seven outings Tuesday with an 88-80 victory in Utah. Shannon Johnson scored 19 points, including 10 during a decisive 17-3 run, and all five starters scored in double figures for the Miracle, who are 2-0 on a three-game road trip.

McWilliams shot 8-of-11 from the floor and Johnson 8-of-15 to help Orlando hit 53 percent (33-of-62) from the floor and improve to 3-2 away from home this year.

The Miracle did win here late last season to keep their playoffs hopes alive, but were eliminated by the Detroit Shock on the final day of the regular season.
