Karlan Aherne-Grant's second-half brace earned Crawley a share of the spoils after coming from 2-0 down at Carlisle.Richie Bennett and Hallam Hope scored either side of the break to put the hosts 2-0 up, but the Cumbrians' play-off ambitions were dealt a blow as Crawley staged a battling comeback.Hope cut in from the left and saw his initial effort blocked by Mark Connolly before he almost opened the scoring with a powerful shot from the rebound, but goalkeeper Glenn Morris did well to get down and deny the forward.Carlisle broke the deadlock when Bennett's superb finish from the left hand side of the penalty area gave Morris no chance after he was picked out by a pinpoint Jamie Devitt cross-field pass.The hosts doubled their advantage inside a minute of the restart after Hope forced a close-range header over the line from Ashley Nadesan's flick following a scramble in the six-yard area.Crawley got back in the game after 56 minutes when Ahearne-Grant jinked past two defenders before drilling a low shot into the bottom right corner of the net.Ahearne-Grant was on target again to level the scores with eight minutes remaining when his shot from inside the penalty area slipped through Jack Bonham's grasp to find the bottom left corner.

Both goals scored in stoppage time as Crawley and Morecambe draw

Callum Lang's stoppage-time opener was not enough for all three points as Karlan Ahearne-Grant hit back to earn Crawley a 1-1 draw with Morecambe.Nineteen-year-old substitute Lang scored in the first minute of added time to give the struggling visitors the lead.But midfielder Ahearne-Grant replied two minutes later from point blank range after Joe McNerney helped on a cross by Enzio Boldewijn.Crawley goalkeeper Glenn Morris was called into action early on when he turned a stinging left-footed drive from winger Gregg Wylde round the post.Morecambe had a let off shortly after as the on-loan Ahearne-Grant put a shot across the face of the goal from a short pass by Mark Randall.The hosts threatened when a cross by Lewis Young was cleared off the line by Sam Lavelle before Boldewijn drove over from a good position for the hosts.Skipper Jimmy Smith got a shot on target for Crawley moments after the break, with keeper Barry Roche punching the ball out and Boldewijn heading the rebound wide. A back heel by Smith later set up Young, but his goal-bound shot was blocked by Dean Winnard.And before the late drama, Smith put a good chance over for Crawley while Morecambe's Andrew Fleming was denied when he fired against the crossbar four minutes from time.

Crawley recorded five successive home wins for the first time in the English Football League with a deserved 3-1 victory over fellow play-off hopefuls Lincoln.After Matt Green had cancelled out Jimmy Smith's early opener, Josh Payne and Mark Connolly scored to take Town to within two points of the League Two play-off positions.Lincoln had boss Danny Cowley sent to the stands as they tumbled to their first defeat since New Year's Day.Enzio Boldewijn had a deflected shot flash across the face of the goal before Crawley broke the deadlock in the 15th minute.Defender Lewis Young cut inside to smash a tremendous shot against the crossbar and skipper Smith was on hand to tap in the rebound from close range.Lincoln had a let off in the 28th minute when, from a cross by Karlan Ahearne-Grant, Boldewijn blazed wastefully over at the far post.Boldewijn later set up Ahearne-Grant in front of goal, but his low shot was saved by keeper Ryan Allsop with his legs.As the players came in for the half-time interval, Cowley was sent to the stands by referee Trevor Kettle following an altercation with Smith.Tom Pett volleyed against the bar before Lincoln levelled seven minutes after the interval when leading scorer Green struck. But Crawley hit back to restore their lead when Scott Wharton pulled Boldewijn in the area and Payne calmly stroked home the resulting penalty in the 67th minute.Defender Connolly sealed a fine victory five minutes later, forcing the ball home at the far post from a free-kick by substitute Jordan Roberts.

Luton maintain six-point lead as Collins haunts former club Crawley

Luton maintained their six-point lead atop Sky Bet League Two after striker James Collins scored twice in a 4-1 victory over his former club Crawley.Collins bagged 20 league goals for Crawley last season before moving to Kenilworth Road over the summer and he returned to haunt his old side, who slip to 11th in the standings.The Hatters made a vibrant start as Crawley goalkeeper Glenn Morris was forced to deny Harry Cornick and Olly Lee either side of Collins' volley rattling the post.Lee then opened the scoring in the 28th minute after a swift break from Collins saw him blast over Morris.Town went on to waste a host of chances, Cornick's effort parried by Morris, Glen Rea's header cleared off the line and Collins' effort flipped over by Morris.Cornick was denied by a wonderful block from defender Josh Lelan, while Crawley's Jordan Roberts struck the post.Collins gave Luton a cushion on the stroke of half-time when his header from Lee's corner deflected past the unfortunate Morris.After the break Crawley went close through Thomas Verheydt and Enzio Boldewijn but Luton increased their advantage in the 56th minute when Luke Berry drilled low past Morris.Collins added further gloss to the scoreline, sending Morris the wrong way with his 76th-minute penalty, awarded after the striker was felled in the area by Lelan, before Crawley striker Karlan Ahearne-Grant scored a consolation with three minutes left.
