TOWSON, Md -- — Frankie Policelli scored 17 points as Charleston (SC) beat Towson 72-56 on Saturday.

Policelli shot 6 for 10 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 2 of 3 from the free throw line for the Cougars (22-7, 13-3 Coastal Athletic Association). Reyne Smith scored 12 points, going 4 of 6 (4 for 5 from 3-point range). Kobe Rodgers had nine points and finished 3 of 5 from the field. The Cougars picked up their seventh straight victory.

The Tigers (17-12, 10-6) were led in scoring by Dylan Williamson, who finished with 13 points and three steals. Charles Thompson added 12 points and eight rebounds for Towson. Christian May also had 10 points.

Charleston (SC) took the lead with 10:58 left in the first half and never looked back. The score was 40-26 at halftime, with Ben Burnham racking up nine points. Charleston (SC) outscored Towson by two points over the final half, while Policelli led the way with a team-high 10 second-half points.

Both teams play on Thursday. Charleston (SC) hosts Campbell and Towson travels to play N.C. A&T.
