Boise State runs past Air Force 76-52
BOISE, Idaho -- Chris Sengfelder tallied 17 points, Justinian Jessup scored 15 on five 3-pointers and Chandler Hutchison notched a double-double to power Boise State to a 76-52 victory over Air Force on Saturday.
Hutchison had 11 points and 10 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season for the Broncos (21-6, 11-4 Mountain West Conference), who snapped a two-game skid and strengthened their hold on second place in conference play. Boise State entered play 1 1/2 games behind Nevada. Sengfelder, Jessup and Hutchison combined to sink 11 of 18 from beyond the 3-point arc as Boise State shot 50 percent (14 of 28) from distance.
Lavelle Scottie had 11 points to pace the Falcons (10-15, 4-9), while Keaton Van Soelen scored 10 off the bench on 4-of-6 shooting. Air Force shot just 38.5 percent from the floor and 29 percent (5 of 17) from distance.
Boise State led 38-25 at halftime thanks to 58 percent shooting from the floor, including 7 of 14 from behind the arc.
