The addition of DeSean Jackson gives the Eagles the exact type of receiver balance they strive for: a deep threat working opposite a physical force in Alshon Jeffery. Carson Wentz will have some fun airing it out to Jackson, and it should open up even more space for guys like Zach Ertz across the middle.

How good was DeSean Jackson in Philadelphia before he was released by former coach Chip Kelly? Jackson produced three 1,000-yard receiving seasons, tied for the most in the franchise's history with Harold Carmichael and Mike Quick.

While Nick Foles did complete a high volume of his passes with the Philadelphia Eagles last season, consider that his average pass traveled only 6.6 yards downfield. Among the 38 QBs with 150 passes in 2018, that was the second-shortest average passing distance in the NFL ahead of only Derek Carr (6.5).

QB Nick Foles, who has agreed to a four-year deal worth more than $50 million in guaranteed money with the Jacksonville Jaguars, has been at his best when getting rid of the ball quickly. Over the past two seasons, including playoffs, Foles has thrown 12 touchdowns to one interception when throwing the ball within 2.5 seconds of the snap. He's completed 80 percent of such throws, the second-best mark in the NFL.
