MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- — Jordan King scored a season-high 29 points and Frannie Hottinger grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds as No. 19 Marquette topped Appalachian State 99-91 on Sunday afternoon.

Marquette added to its best start in program history with its 11th straight win and had its highest-scoring game of the season, topping 90 points for the third time this season. The Golden Eagles shot better than 50% from the field for the eighth time in 11 games.

King moved into third all-time in career games played by starting in her 135th game for Marquette, hit a career-high six 3-pointers and topped 20 points for the 15th time in her career. Six Mountaineers reached double-figure scoring led by Emily Carver and Faith Alston, who each had 19 points. Carver hit 8 of 16 from the field, including 3 of 7 from distance and Alston was 8-for-8 from the free-throw line and dished 10 assists.
