Turner's 31 leads Manhattan past Quinnipiac 92-86 in 2OT

NEW YORK -- Zavier Turner scored 31 points to lead Manhattan in a thrilling 92-86 double overtime win against Quinnipiac on Sunday to clinch the No. 5 seed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament.

Quinnipiac enters the tournament as the seventh seed.

Turner, who finished one point shy of his career best, made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:44 left in the second overtime and Manhattan (14-16, 9-9) led the rest of the way. Turner scored 12 of the Jaspers' 16 points in the final period.

Rich Williams buried a deep, baseline 3-pointer with seven seconds left in the first overtime to tie it at 76. Cameron Young missed a desperation heave for the Bobcats as time expired. Williams, who finished with 23 points and 11 boards, scored eight of Manhattan's 11 points in the first overtime. Zane Waterman scored 14 and Pauly Palicap added 10 for the Jaspers.

Cameron Young led Quinnipiac (10-20, 7-11) with 22 points and 10 rebounds, Rich Kelly scored 20, Jacob Rigoni, 18 and Chaise Daniels, 15.
