Rockets trade guard Carter-Williams to Bulls

The Rockets have traded guard Michael Carter-Williams and cash to the Bulls in a salary-cap maneuver. The Bulls then waived Carter-Williams later Monday.

Bobby Marks ESPN

Chicago will have a $1.2M cap hit on the Michael Carter-Williams waiver but are only responsible for $366K of what is owed on his salary. The $1M cash received from Houston will likely offset the Carter-Williams salary and also some of what is owed to MarShon Brooks ($907K) who was also waived. Brooks will count $1.65M towards the cap.
