Devante Fitzgerald commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M landed a commitment from Stone Mountain (Ga.) Tucker High School 2013 small forward Devante Fitzgerald on Sunday.

Georgia Tornadoes coach Steve Bouye, who is Fitzgerald's AAU coach, confirmed the news to GigEmNation on Sunday.

The 6-foot-7, 195-pound Fitzgerald is a three-star prospect and is ranked as the 11th-best prospect in Georgia. He is the 31st-ranked small forward in the country. Fitzgerald was in College Station, Texas, on an official visit to the Texas A&M campus and attended the A&M football team's 70-14 win over South Carolina State on Saturday night at Kyle Field. He gave his pledge to the Aggies basketball staff before departing back to Georgia.

Fitzgerald had offers from Auburn, Central Florida, Charlotte, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Oregon State, Virginia Tech, Santa Clara and South Florida. He is the second member of the Aggies' 2013 recruiting class, joining small forward Derrick Griffin (Rosenberg, Texas/Terry).
