Junior shooting guard Dakota Mathias (Elida, Ohio/Elida) verbally committed to Purdue on Sunday, ESPN.com has confirmed.

The 6-foot-5 Mathias chose the Boilermakers over offers from Boston College and West Virginia. He is the first recruit for Purdue from the 2014 class.
