Class of 2013 shooting guard Detrick Mostella (Decatur, Ala./La Lumiere) will not play for Oklahoma State after all, switching his commitment to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Mostella made his choice following a visit to Pitt's campus.
"They told me they needed a shooting guard, and that made my decision right there," he told the paper. "They have everything but a shooting guard (in this recruiting class). I know I can come in right away and help them."
Mostella, a four-star prospect, joins ESPN 100 PF Mike Young (McKeesport, Pa./St. Benedict's) along with PG Josh Newkirk (Raleigh, N.C./Word of God), SF Jamel Artis (Baltimore/Notre Dame Prep) and C Joseph Uchebo (Chipola, Fla./Chipola College) in the Panthers' incoming freshman class. Pitt will begin its first season in the ACC this year.
With the switch, Pittsburgh moves to No. 26 in the 2013 class rankings, while Oklahoma State drops to No. 39.
