South Carolina added its third recruit for 2012 on Tuesday with the verbal pledge of Miami native Tyrone Haughton, according to the Spartanburg Herald.

The 6-foot-9 forward chose the Gamecocks over Connecticut, Alabama, Virginia Tech and Marshall.

"I feel like I fit in," he told the paper. "I love their team, the school, every single thing about them."

Haughton will join shooting guard Carlos Morris (Jacksonville, Fla./Arlington Country Day) and point guard Ian Baker (Washington, D.C./Arlington Country Day) in head coach Darrin Horn's 2012 class.
