Jim Harbaugh and his staff landed their first huge recruit at Michigan when ESPN 300 offensive lineman Ben Bredeson chose the Wolverines on Wednesday. Bredeson is the No. 53 prospect and committed to Michigan over offers from Notre Dame and Wisconsin, among others.

Bredeson had seemingly narrowed down his list to Michigan and Notre Dame, but the Wolverines had a few advantages in their corner. One of those is the fact that Bredeson's brother, Jack, plays baseball for Michigan.

Jack took to Twitter to congratulate his brother and express his delight that he will be with his younger sibling in Ann Arbor.

The Wisconsin native gives Michigan two ESPN 300 offensive linemen and could start a big run of higher ranked commitments for Michigan.

The Wolverines are in on some bigger name targets, including defensive linemen Khalid Kareem and Xavier Kelly, linebackers Jonathan Jones and Devin Bush Jr. and even a few other bigger offensive linemen, including ESPN 300 Terrance Davis, among others.

This commitment could help kick-start the bigger names for Michigan, but it also helps the future of the offensive line as Bredeson is one of the best linemen in the Midwest in his class.

Michigan now has 15 commitments total and four ESPN 300 prospects in the 2016 class.
