Best of the college football recruiting visits: SEC

There were several big-time games in the SEC over the weekend, which means recruits from all over the Southeast were making visits to various schools. Here’s a closer look at the sights and sounds from over the weekend:

The No. 1-ranked safety in the country, Brandon Jones, visited Texas A&M on Saturday for its 44-27 win over Nevada. The Under Armour All-American tweeted out a photo of himself along with Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin. Texas A&M appears to be in a good position to land the talented prospect from Nacogdoches (Texas) High School.

The 35th-ranked player in the ESPN 300, cornerback Kristian Fulton took an unofficial visit to LSU on Saturday to watch the Tigers' impressive win over SEC West rival Auburn 45-21. Fulton, who is from Louisiana, has LSU, Florida and Auburn near the top of his list. Fulton posted a video of Tiger Stadium during the game.

On a night when Alabama suffered a disappointing loss to Ole Miss in an SEC West showdown, the Crimson Tide hosted several key visitors. ESPN 300 defensive end Terrell Hall made the trip to Tuscaloosa from the Washington, DC area to see the Crimson Tide play. Hall posted a few photos of his time in Tuscaloosa during his trip.

Junior college wide receiver Dre’ Massey (Mauldin, SC, Holmes Community College) also visited Alabama over the weekend. Massey, who holds offers from Cincinnati, East Carolina, Memphis and Middle Tennessee State, posted a photo from the game.

ESPN Junior 300 cornerback Tre Shaw visited Georgia for its big 52-20 win over South Carolina on Saturday afternoon. In addition to the Bulldogs, Shaw has offers from Auburn, Florida, South Carolina, Ole Miss, North Carolina and many others. Shaw tweeted a photo of himself with several other recruits who were in attendance for the game.

Shaw wasn’t the only prospect to send out social media posts from the Georgia game. Another ESPN Junior 300 member, cornerback William Poole III, posted a video of the Georgia home crowd during the game on Saturday. Poole is the ninth-ranked cornerback in the country for next year.

Kentucky suffered a 14-9 loss to Florida on Saturday, a night when the Wildcats also hosted several committed players as well as uncommitted prospects. Mac Jones, a 2018 Kentucky quarterback commit, posted a video of himself speaking with Kentucky quarterback Patrick Towles just before the game.
