It wasn’t a great day on the field for the home teams in the Big Ten with Indiana, Wisconsin and Maryland losing, and Michigan State and Illinois among those with close calls.
It also didn’t help that the weather impacted a few of the games, including Maryland/Michigan which was pushed up from 8pm to noon. Despite those facts, there were still some key visitors within the conference, and here is a look at some of the best, via through social media:
The Terps have issues at quarterback this season, but fortunately the future at the position was sitting in the stands doing some recruiting of his own. ESPN 300 quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. took in the game with fellow commit D.J. Turner and a few other prospects.

Keeping Haskins committed is one of the more important tasks for the Maryland coaches, because there is a chance we could see Haskins on the field as a freshman.

Maryland had a few big uncommitted prospects on hand as well, including ESPN Junior 300 defensive lineman Eric Crosby.

Indiana put up a good fight against No. 1-ranked Ohio State and despite a last-second effort, the Hoosiers came up a little short in the game. There aren’t really moral victories in football, but the game did show recruits that coach Kevin Wilson has Indiana going in a positive direction.
One of those prospects on hand was in-state 2018 offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor, who will be a huge target in his class.

Wisconsin lost to Iowa, but again had some underclassmen in attendance to check out the game, including 2017 offensive lineman Gavin Blomberg.

The Badgers might have had a disappointing weekend on the field, but earlier in the week the coaches picked up commitments from ESPN 300 defensive lineman Garrett Rand in the 2016 class and ESPN Jr. 300 offensive lineman Kayden Lyles in the 2017 class.
Both of those commitments are a big deal, and should help in the future trenches for the Badgers.
Penn State had a smaller visitor list for its game against Army, but lineman Ben Petrula and athlete Johnathan Lewis were on hand.
